Like any equine business expanding their horizons and going down the global export route, observing the US Equestrian Market from a distance is awe inspiring. It is one of the biggest equine markets in the world, responsible for the employment of 1.74 million people & and annual value to the economy of $122 billion – it really is the land of dreams from an Equestrian perspective. As such, the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) annual convention – really is an event of enormous size & potential. We were delighted to attend & begin showcasing & discussing our Equimetrics V-Pro Device which will launch in 2023.

Over 5,000 equine professionals coming together in Texas, to up-skill, broaden their knowledge & see one another again after a Covid 19 induced hiatus, provided the pathway for Equimetrics to have some excellent conversations with US based veterinarians & Distributing wholesalers. The response was even more positive than we anticipated, and we are hopeful that V-Pro will be available for purchase in the USA very soon!

The Equimetrics V-Pro device offers Equine Hospital Facilities the opportunity to remotely monitor their in-patient health, 24/7 with any changes in key parameters flagged by push alerts directly via the App to the OnCall Teams tablet/cellphone. The added ability to conduct standing & exercise ECG for the veterinarians, within one simple to use device – was a ‘game changer’ for many of the clinics we spoke to. There was no doubt that V-Pro will not only reduce the monitoring burden on staff in clinics, but will also allow for early intervention in clinical cases whereby a small change in temperature, or heart rate can indicate discomfort, pain or infection.

V-Pro was absolutely seen as a practical solution to Equine Hospitals everyday challenges of patient monitoring, ideal for an industry with continued pressures of staffing & the very real concern that Equine veterinarians face in the long term of providing clinical care for their client horses.
